Thermowood starts as the same Nordic spruce as our standard spruce enclosure, then goes through a thermal modification process: heat and steam only, no chemicals. The treatment changes the wood's cell structure, so it resists decay and barely expands or shrinks with changes in moisture and temperature, unlike untreated spruce. It's built to follow the oval tub's rounded shell exactly. Made by Plastprofiil, a composite factory in Riisipere, Estonia, manufacturing since 2012.

Installation and Maintenance
- Installation: Requires a flat and stable surface. No assembly needed on delivery - it comes built. Ask for it unassembled if you'd rather put it together yourself.
- Maintenance: To preserve the thermowood enclosure we recommend oiling it once a year with deck oil.
- Storage: Good ventilation prevents moisture damage.
