Thermowood starts as the same Nordic spruce as our standard spruce enclosure, then goes through a thermal modification process: heat and steam only, no chemicals. The treatment changes the wood's cell structure, so it resists decay and barely expands or shrinks with changes in moisture and temperature, unlike untreated spruce. It's built to the 1000L faceted acrylic tub shell's exact shape. It arrives fully assembled, ready to position - unassembled shipping is available.
